  • Delayed union or non-union fractures of the carpus and tarsus (including the scaphoid bone)
  • Fresh fractures with an elevated risk (short treatment duration and prevention of non-union due to bone growth stimulation)
  • Avascular necrosis of the femoral head (halt the bone degradation)
  • Supportive therapy after surgery on a non-union fracture to increase the healing chance
  • Fractures resulting from osteotomy
  • Shin splints like the medial tibial stress syndrome

Contraindications

We advise you to consult with your doctor about a treatment with the Ossatec Bone Growth Stimulator in the following cases:

  • You are younger than 18
  • You have a pacemaker
  • You use an insulin pump
  • You take the medication Marcoumar
  • You suffer from epilepsy
  • You suffer from heart rhythm disorder
  • You are pregnant
  • You use steroids
